I’ll work till my body works – Amitabh Bachchan

This ‘bbuddah’ refuses to give up till his body gives way. At 68, Amitabh Bachchan is raring to go with two of his invariably different films – issue-based serious drama “Aarakshan” and flamboyant “Bbuddah…Hoga Tera Baap”, waiting to hit the screens – and the megastar says he is not ready to hang his boots as yet!

“Age is nothing when you want to work…If the body is working, the face is okay and the voice is okay, I would like to work as long as I can,” Amitabh told reports here Monday.

The usual baritone was a little tempered than usual, but his stance and style was as charismatic as ever.

“Our profession is like that of sportsmen. If there are serious injuries on the body, they cannot perform. Similarly, if any part of our body stops working, actors also stop working,” he added.

The megastar, who was in the capital with director Prakash Jha to promote “Aarakshan”, is quite irked with queries about what keeps him going even after devoting over four decades to the Indian film industry.

“I think a lot of people are troubled by the fact that I am working at this age…It’s some sort of campaign to make me stop working…,” he quipped and added: “To all those who think so…here you go…’Bbuddah…Hoga Tera Baap’!”
