Bollywood is abuzz these days with the news of Hema Malini’s daughter Esha Deol getting engaged to Mumbai-based businessman Bharat Takhtani. If buzz is to be believed, the two are already engaged and will be making an announcement soon.

Esha, on the other hand, has vehemently denied the news and said, “My engagement would be a grand affair. Why would I want to hide it from the world? It will be a proud moment for me. There is no ring on my finger.”

Engaged or not, Esha Deol is trying her level best to promote her next flick ‘Tell Me O Khuda’ in the best way possible. She also visited shrine of Sufi saint Khwaja Moinuddin Chisty situated in Ajmer. She said that she prayed for family and friends during her visit to Ajmer.

Asin to give a miss to the world premiere of ‘Ready’ in London

The industry is keeping its fingers crossed for the release of Salman Khan’s ‘Ready’ which happens to be the first big release after IPL fever gets over. However, as the production house gears up for the dazzling world premiere of the flick in Dubai, the leading lady of the film, Asin Thottumkal, will be conspicuous by her absence in the scene.

Before you predict the reason for her absence to be some sort of conflict with the makers, let us clear it out here that Asin will not be able to attend the premiere because of her passport problems.

Asin has been signed on as one of the 18 actors in Nadiadwala’s Housefull 2 and had applied for UK visa as she is supposed to shoot some sequences of the film in London. As Salman Khan’s ‘Bodyguard’ awaits its release on Eid weekend, excitement seems to be building up in the atmosphere. Salman plays the sleek and stylish bodyguard of Kareena Kapoor in the film and keeping with the theme of the flick, the first look of the film was launched at a Juhu multiplex on Thursday by the superstar’s bodyguard Shera.

After ‘Tridev’, this will be the first time that actor Naseeruddin Shah will be shooting a full song and dance sequence for Milan Lutharia’s ‘Dirty Picture’ which is a biography on the South siren Silk Smitha and Milan is leaving no stones unturned in making the song a memorable one.

Reportedly, the filmmaker ordered for two truckloads of oranges to shoot the song which was picturized on Naseer and Vidya Balan. The oranges were rolled down a hill side by twenty Assistant Directors and boys who stood on the hill top rolling the fruit while the two actors danced. The scene somewhat resembled the one from ‘Himmatwala’.

On the third-day of the ongoing Synergy1 Delhi Couture Week in the capital, Bollywood actor Sonam Kapoor displayed the creation of Indian designer Manish Malhotra.

Shraddha Kapoor displayed a creation of Indian designer Anju Modi on July 24, 2011 and Sonakshi Sinha looked ravishing as ever as she walked the ramp in the creation of Indian designers Shantanu and Nikhil. For the first time, yesteryear actress Sharmila Tagore walked the ramp in a ghaghra designed by Indian designers Ashima-Leena. A brand new team for ‘Dabangg 2′

Well, ‘Dabangg’ may have been a grand success on the box office, but Salman and Arbaaz Khan are in no mood to repeat the crew of the original for the sequel. After director Abhinav Kashyap walked out of ‘Dabangg 2’, they had decided that barring Abhinav, they would repeat the entire cast and crew. However, the technicians were the next to leave the team. Now, the film which goes on floors in March 2012 will have a entirely new set of crew with the original lead actors.

Arbaaz Khan confirmed this fact and was quoted saying, “Why are people presuming that I’d have to depend on creative resources from the first Dabangg to make Dabangg 2? I’ve been born into a film family. I grew up hearing scripts and people talking cinema. I know enough about cinema to turn director confidently. It’s true we don’t have the original crew on board. We’ve hired a first-rate group of fresh technicians for Dabangg 2.”

Yet another sexual harassment allegation against Shiney Ahuja

Well, hardly has Shiney Ahuja come out of his long battle against sexual harassment charges that once again he has been trapped under the same allegations, this time by his co-star Sayali Bhagat with whom he is working in a horror film, ‘Ghost’.

Here is the whole story in the words of Sayali herself, “My life has been a living hell ever since a leading film magazine (Stardust) came out with the story that Shiney misbehaved with me on the sets of our upcoming film Ghost. I was under tremendous pressure to deny all the claims and allegations I made in my interview, so I gave into the pressure.”

“Though the fact remains that Shiney did not pinch my butt, he did make plenty of passes at me during the shooting of our film. It all began by him throwing subtle hints that he was not getting “warm vibes” from me on the sets, and that in order for the chemistry to show on screen, it was imperative that he and I warmed up to each other. During an intimate scene, he took me to the makeup room and made me hold his hands and look into his eyes and feel the “warmth”.

Sayali Bhagat alleges sexual harassment charges against Shiney Ahuja

Shiney Ahuja has been once again accused of sexual harassment, this time by his co-star from his upcoming film Ghost. Sayali Bhagat who features opposite Shiney in the horror film has claimed that the actor misbehaved with her a number of times during the shoot of the film.

Actors like Sara Batu, Asa Parekh and Dimple Kappa, as well as designers like Nerta Lilla and Shaina NC made a beeline at the Bacchanal household Jalsa here Tuesday for the grand baby shower of Aishwarya Ra.

The Bandra house was decorated with flowers, and was packed with people in the afternoon.

Aishwarya is said to have worn an orange-colored Indian ensemble for the occasion. If guests are to be believed, she looked ethereal, with the glow of any mother-to-be on her face. The actress, married to Abhishek Bacchanal, is eight months pregnant.

“Aishwarya was looking like a ‘chant ks Tuesday’. She was looking beautiful. We wish Abhishek and Aishwarya all the best,” Sabra Bantu, who gifted Aishwarya a gold coin, told a news channel.

Choreographer Sarong Khan, who has made Aishwarya dance on songs like “Nimbooda”, “Teal SE teal mils” and “Bar so re”, shared some scenes from the Bacchanal household.

“I have never seen so many celebrity women together. All the women went up to Aishwarya and blessed her. Jayaji received each guest personally and was very warm. Even her daughter, Shweta, gave personal attention to everyone. There were a lot of songs and celebration,” said Khan.

The veteran choreographer wasn’t just praises for Aishwarya alone, but also for Abhishek, who wore a white sherwani style kurta.

“Aishwarya looked pretty in orange. Her face had such a glow. She was decorated with mogra flowers. Even Abhishek looked extremely happy. God bless them both and may the child have a long life,” she added.

Make-up artist Mickey Contractor helped Aishwarya get ready for the special day.

Aishwarya father-in-law, megastar Amitabh Bachchan, had revealed the news of her pregnancy through his Twitter account in June. The baby is due mid-November.

Ram G opal Var ma has rubbished reports that he is having a difficult time getting extra dates from actor San jay Duty to re-shoot some scenes of his next film “Department”.

“Report in Midday is complete hogwash on San-jay Duet not having time… in fact me and San jay are waiting for Rana’s time who had a prior commitment,” posted Valma on Twitter.

“San jay is going out of his way to shoot for ‘Department’ in spite of an injury on his hand so as to accommodate a certain actor’s date combination,” he added.

Raveena Tandon grabs meaty role in comeback film

Raven Tan don, who was last seen in an item-number in “Buddha…Hogan Tera Baa”, is making a full-fledged comeback with “Gin Lita Aasman” and that too in a meaty role.

Directed by Irish Deshpande and produced by Mudlarks Ariz and Amil Bohr, the film is a story of a six-year-old boy whose father, a naval officer, has been missing since a plane crash. He is told that his father lives in the sky and the kid believes it. What follows is an interesting and emotional tale of love, sorrow and happiness.

The 36-year-old is playing the boy’s mother in the film and is upbeat about the fact that she has grabbed a performance-oriented role.

The “Mast-mast” girl of Bollywood had a release in 2006 with a film called “Sandwich” and she has given powerful performances in movies like “School”, “Damon” and “Satay”.

TV show my most ambitious project – Aamir Khan

After Sal man Khan and Shrunk Khan, it’s A amir Khan’s turn to make his debut on the small screen. The actor will be seen in a yet-to-be titled show which he calls his “most ambitious project”.

The production of the show is yet to start and it will go on air next year. It is being jointly produced by Amir Khan Productions and Star India.

“This show is my most ambitious project. This began as a dream some three-four years ago. U day (S hanker of Star) coaxed me with the idea that I should think of dominating television now. That is how the spark ignited. After that meeting I actually started thinking about it passionately,” A amir told reporters here Saturday.

“I have been offered game shows before, but I didn’t find them very exciting… not that they were not good but personally doing the same thing everyday didn’t excite me much. So that is how I started to think and brainstorm for an innovative concept.

“Moreover, I have realized in all these years that TV is a very strong and powerful medium and I should make use of this platform to reach larger audience,” he added.

The show will bring real stories and emotions of people on the small screen and for the 46-year-old it is a dream come true.

“Honestly I take time to make up my mind and it’s like a dream come true for me. I have been living it and breathing it during all these years,” said A amir.

U day Shankara, CEO Star India, calls it a pan-India show. It will be telecast in eight different languages.

“It’s a pan-India show. The show has been woven around A amir, it is his vision. He did not want language to act as a barrier, he said ‘I want all your regional channels for this show’,” Shaker said.

Aamir Khan wishes success for ‘RA. One’

Superstar amir Khan has wished success for Shah Rush Khan’s highly ambitious production venture “RA.One”, which is set to hit the screens on Diwali.

“My best wishes to Shrunk Khan and the entire team. They have put in a lot of money and effort. I wish and hope they get their due respect. I hope the film does well,” A amir told reporters at the announcement of his TV debut here Saturday.

The film sees Shah Rush playing the role of superhero G.One or Janeva, while Arjuna Ram pal plays the evil “RA.One”. It also stars Karena Kickapoo in a prominent role.

Shrunk Khan is leaving no stone unturned to make his big budget film a success. He has been aggressively promoting the film all over.

Kareena Kapoor to unveil her wax statue a day after ‘Ra.One’ release

The wax statue of Karena Kickapoo at Madame Tussaud was supposed to be unveiled in the second week of October but due to the sad demise of Saif father Karena cancelled the programmer. Now, Karena will fly off for UK to unveil her wax statue just a day after the release of her mega release ‘Ra.One’.

Since, Ra.One is releasing on October 26, Karena will fly off to Blackpool on 27th October. There, Karena will also inaugurate a Madame Tussaud's global exhibition in which the wax statues of Bollywood stars would be taken to six cities around the world and exhibited there.

Rumors have it that Karena mom Babita will be flying off to Blackpool with her.
