A brand new team for ‘Dabangg 2′

Well, ‘Dabangg’ may have been a grand success on the box office, but Salman and Arbaaz Khan are in no mood to repeat the crew of the original for the sequel. After director Abhinav Kashyap walked out of ‘Dabangg 2’, they had decided that barring Abhinav, they would repeat the entire cast and crew. However, the technicians were the next to leave the team. Now, the film which goes on floors in March 2012 will have a entirely new set of crew with the original lead actors.

Arbaaz Khan confirmed this fact and was quoted saying, “Why are people presuming that I’d have to depend on creative resources from the first Dabangg to make Dabangg 2? I’ve been born into a film family. I grew up hearing scripts and people talking cinema. I know enough about cinema to turn director confidently. It’s true we don’t have the original crew on board. We’ve hired a first-rate group of fresh technicians for Dabangg 2.”

Sonam Kapoor turns 26, gets chocolate cake from sister

Actress Sonam Kapoor turned 26 Thursday. Her younger sister Rhea ordered her favourite chocolate cake to celebrate the occassion, while her friends from filmdom and the fashion industry sent their best wishes.

The celebs took to micro-blogging site Twitter to wish the actress.

Rhea tweeted: “Gearing up for @sonamakapoor’s birthday. This means ordering the most indulgent chocolate cake ever and then convincing her that its ‘diet’ (sic).”

To which, Sonam added: Sitting with my family is the most special thing ever! Thank you @RheaKapoor @moh_m arjun, shehlu @anshulakapoor and kunal.. And mom! Love u.”

Maheep Kapoor, who is married to Sonam’s uncle Sanjay: Happy birthday to my stunning niece @sonamakapoor.

Sonam, eldest daughter of actor Anil Kapoor and designer Sunita Kapoor, made her acting debut alongside Ranbir Kapoor in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s “Saawariya” in 2007. After that, she featured in Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s “Delhi-6″ with Abhishek Bachchan and later teamed up with Abhay Deol for the romantic comedy “Aisha”, which was produced by her sister Rhea.

In 2010, she also appeared in Punit Malhotra’s “I Hate Luv Storys” opposite Imran Khan.

Kapoor’s forthcoming releases include “Mausam” with Shahid Kapoor and multi-starrer “Players” that stars Bobby Deol, Bipasha Basu, Abhishek, Neil, Omi Vaidya and Sikander Kher.

Is Salman ‘Ready’ for a Hat Trick?

It’s less than a month to go for Salman’s Ready. The actor who has managed to give a Wanted in 2009 and an earth shattering hit like Dabanng in 2010 is all ‘Ready’ on June 3, 2011. The music of the film is already out and one can hear the Dhika Chika track from the film being played all across the country. Salman has already assured his fans that they will get to see the typical heroism of Bollywood in this film. Salman who manged a much needed hit with Wanted by remaking the Telugu super-duper hit Pokiri is again back with a remake in the form of Ready. Ready (titled the same in Telugu) was also a smash hit down south a couple of years ago.

With Anees Bazmee at the helm of affairs, a few changes, Sallu’s punch dialogues and the man himself, this film could sure mark a hat trick for the Dabanng star. Wishing Salman all the best for Ready.

Salman Khan’s cleanses his image

Salman plays big brother, no more badnaami of Munni!

Salman has learnt to have played ‘big brother’ for the Khan‘daan’.  The actor has said to have subtly asked certain sections of media to shut up and refrain from making split stories about his producer brother Arbaaz and his wife Munni aka Malaika Arora Khan.

A highly placed source reveals, “Bhai had been hearing about the rumors between his brother and bhabhi and happened to call a family meet at his residence to sort out the chaos."

Reports of Arbaaz and Malaika’s cold vibes and the actress linked to producer’s son were mongering on websites and tabloids, it was also said that the two were considering a legal split and had consulted marriage counselor for the same.

“Stop these baseless stories,” hung up Arbaaz saying that the stories were concocted and all is fine between the two.

Salman who was busy with his Ready promotions had specifically asked Arbaaz and Malaika to lay low still the film was released but now since Ready is a success story he decided to concentrate on family issues which were maligning his sister in law’s reputation.

Salman was heard speaking to a senior film journalist asking him to speak to those who are spreading such stories or face dire consequences.

Though insiders said, there was something fishy brewing between Arbaaz and Malaika since the two would not attend the events together and avoided talking about each other in media circuit.

The meeting at Salman’s home at Galaxy Bandra could have been the outcome for the same say sources.

Most Searched Bollywood Stars 2011 - Salman Khan Sonakshi Sinha

1) Both have been named the most searched Indian celebrities on the web in a new survey by movie portal.

Sallu Bhai beats Bollywood Khiladi Akshay Kumar and Ajay Devgan in the survey carried across the metros as well as tier-II and tier-III cities. Ranbir Kapoor and Shahid Kapoor wrapped up the top five.

And If I am talking about Sonakshi Sinha then she came ahead of the likes of Priyanka Chopra and Katrina Kaif to be the most searched celebrity on the internet among the female brigade.

Piggy Chops came second and Sonam Kapoor followed at the third slot. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Katz landed at the fourth and fifth spots in the survey.

(2) Salman Khan saw the final two matches of World Cup 2011 only to study the temperament of the bodyguards patrolling close to the VIPs on the D-days.

He has been greatly inspired by his close friend and B-town Mr. Perfectionist Aamir Khan to do a thorough research on the character to be portrayed, and as such the ‘Bodyguard’ hero remained glued to his seat to observe the functioning of the bodyguards at the stadium, during the game.
